Care Tips

Place in bright, indirect sunlight. Avoid direct afternoon sun which can scorch the leaves. A well-lit windowsill is ideal.

water once every 5–7 days during summer if soil is fully dry. In winter (especially North India), reduce watering to once every 2–3 weeks or stop completely if leaves shed, During monsoon, reduce watering to avoid fungal infections.

Use a fast-draining mix to handle humidity and avoid root rot. Avoid clay or moisture-holding soils like red soil without sand.

  • Use terracotta or clay pots — they’re breathable and ideal for Indian summers.

  • Pot must have a large drainage hole.

  • Prefer wide and shallow pots to let the caudex (bulbous base) breathe and grow beautifully.
